Chertsey Thames Valley Hockey Club aspires to be a thriving hockey hub, supporting playing, coaching and officiating activities for all levels and ages.
The club looks to build relationships with local schools and the wider community to promote participation in hockey.
Club Objectives
- Playing: The club aims to provide challenging and enjoyable hockey to all age groups and to all levels of ability. The club aims to have Ladies’ and Men’s teams playing at the levels which enable all members to participate to the best of their ability.
- Youth Players: The club aims to provide a co-ordinated coaching and playing structure for youth players which will help our junior members realise and develop their potential.
- Coaching: The club aims to make coaching available to all members and to develop coaches from within the club.
- Umpiring: The club aims to provide opportunities for all members to umpire and to develop umpires from within the club.
- Social: The club aims to develop and maintain a lively and enjoyable social aspect of the club where members can develop social relationships.
- Facilities: The club aims to provide good quality facilities for both the playing and non-playing aspects of the club.
- Local Community: The club aims to be an active contributor to the local community including the development of links with local schools.
- Finances: The club aims to maintain a robust financial position whilst keeping subscription levels and match fees at reasonable levels.
- Management: The club aims to operate efficiently and transparently, supported by timely and open communication
